PLAY FORE PAWS

Let me start out by wishing you all well during this challenging time!

I am writing to tell you about the status of our 10^th Annual Play Fore Paws golf tournament, one of our most important fundraising events.This year’s tournament will be held, but will feature a bit of a different format due to the pandemic. We have reorganized to incorporate health protection recommendations for smaller gatherings, social distancing, etc.But Play Fore Paws 2020 is still sure to be a day of golf and fun for all.

This year, teams who enter will play on the date of their convenience during normal Bath Country Club course operations anytime between September 12 and October 10, 2020. Please see the event brochure at https://fingerlakesspca.org/play-fore-paws-2020/ for more information and sign-up!

In addition to recruiting individuals and teams to play in the tournament, our organization is seeking out corporate, civic, business and individual sponsors and donors for critical support. In return for their help, all sponsors will receive recognition in the Play Fore Paws 2020 official public thank you in addition to knowing their generous support will benefit a very worthy cause! Last year’s tournament raised over $14,000 for our animal friends.These are dollars that we rely on annually to meet our animal care budget. They help us to save lives, reduce suffering and lend support to the mutually beneficial and special human-companion animal bond. Money raised from this year’s golf tournament will be particularly important to ensuring we are able to continue to be there for vulnerable animals who depend on us during such uncertain times and when they need us most.

Over the past few months, the coronavirus pandemic has greatly affected our lives, and I recognize this is a challenging time for all of us.
